About Us
Owner and president, Josephine C. Ames started J.C. Cleaning Service, as a
residential cleaning service in 1987. Ames Services, LTD, an S-Chapter
Corporation was founded as a one-person organization in 1989; however a
quality job, hard work and total dedication to business assured steady
and significant growth.
It was just a matter of time until the opportunity to expand into commercial and
industrial maintenance services presented itself. Increased exposure, professional
service, training, education and experience have brought Ames Services, LTD to
be a prominent maintenance service provider in Central Pennsylvania.
In 1994, J.C.A. Maintenance Management was formed, as a division of Ames
Services, LTD to meet the total maintenance needs of both the business owner and
the residential property owner. With the formation of J.C.A. Maintenance, Ames
Services, LTD continues to stand ready to meet your total building and ground
needs.
Each year since 1987, the business has grown in every way. Ames Services, LTD
presently has 30 vehicles and nearly 75 employees to serve your every need. We
love a challenge. We can meet your special needs as well as the routine.
In 2003 Ames Services LTD acquired Susquehanna Properties in Mt. Joy, PA.
This acquisition not only expanded the business family into Lancaster County, but
also offered additional services. Old Maids-Maid Service and commercial service,
Lambert's Cleaning Service to meet the needs of Lancaster County. We also
acquired an office and a flooring showroom that has expanded our variety of
services into the floor-covering field with Susquehanna Flooring.
In 2006 Ames Services LTD opened Main Street Classics and Oldies Laundromat.
Our motto "Committed to Quality" says it all. Following this history is a copy of
